WhatsApp will have a new feature
Last November, the popular messenger WhatsApp introduced a feature to send messages that disappear after 7 days.
A couple of months ago, the developers also started working on messages that will disappear forever after being viewed once.
Now it has been revealed that WhatsApp is going to add another option for message expiration, namely 90 days.
When all of these features come out of beta, users will have a menu similar to the one you see in the screenshot below. As you can see, on it you can choose between “Off” (To make messages never disappear), or to make chats disappear after 24 hours, 7 days, or 90 days.
Users of the beta version of WhatsApp 188.8.131.52 for Android confirm that they already have this feature. But it’s worth noting that WhatsApp sometimes keeps new features in the beta testing area for many weeks (and even months) before finally making them available to all its users, so we don’t know yet when the feature will be available to everyone.
